Grafenwöhr - Deutsch-Amerikanisches Volksfest

Every year, the US Army Garrison invites the entire population to celebrate at the German-American Folk Festival on the military training area. The military training area opens its doors on the first weekend in August.

On the fairground at Camp Algiers, visitors can expect a large amusement park with numerous rides and a tent city with over 100 different stands. There are souvenir and gift items as well as a diverse and international range of food, from American ice cream, barbecue ribs, tacos, nachos, corn-on-the-cob, hot dogs, hamburgers and steaks to baked potatoes, gyros, smoked fish and egg rolls.

The US Army and the German Armed Forces will be putting on a joint weapons and equipment display. The 100,000 visitors can enjoy everything from country to rock music, hip hop and brass band music.
