About the Park
The Grafenau Folk Festival is one of the most popular festivals in the region and attracts around 60,000 visitors each year. The festival always begins on the first Friday in July and lasts for six days. The traditional parade, featuring marching bands, clubs, and the town guard, kicks off the festival on Friday. The festival offers a wonderful blend of tradition, entertainment, and camaraderie. At the festival grounds, various rides, game booths, and a diverse music program create a lively atmosphere. In the festival tent, guests can enjoy regional specialties and cold drinks while celebrating together.
