Goslar - Weihnachtsmarkt

The Christmas market in the historic imperial city of Goslar in the Harz Mountains is known for its unique atmosphere against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town.

A special highlight is the Goslar Christmas Forest on Schuhhof square: over 60 densely packed conifers decorated with 160,000 lights and a woodchip floor create a fairytale-like, contemplative forest atmosphere in the middle of the city.

Around 70 lovingly decorated wooden huts are spread across the market square and the adjacent alleys. They offer a diverse selection of traditional handicrafts and culinary specialties and invite visitors to enjoy a cozy glass of mulled wine.
