Essen Borbeck - Schlossparkfest

In July, the park surrounding Borbeck Castle will once again be transformed into a nostalgic fairground. Visitors can look forward to a historical fair with lovingly restored rides such as a Ferris wheel (1902), caterpillar train (1949), horse carousel (1919) and heart train – all set amid idyllic parkland.

Live bands perform daily on several stages. On Sunday, the popular Steampunk Day attracts visitors with walk acts, circus performances and fire art. There is also a colourful programme for children with carousels, mascots, games and circus activities. In terms of cuisine, the festival offers everything your heart desires, from potato pancakes to a cocktail bar.
