About the Park
The Bergkirchweih in Erlangen is the Franconian and also the oldest beer festival in the world. The first Bergkirchweih took place in 1755, so the festival is over 265 years old. The festival takes place on the "Burgberg" and in a total of 13 beer cellars. Some of the more than 100 showmen provide entertainment with their rides, others take care of the culinary well-being. On average, the Erlangen Bergkirchweih has over 1 million visitors.
