The Emden Schützen- und Volksfest - probably the oldest traditional festival in the seaport town by the sea. Five cheerful days of festivities with hearty music and a folk festival atmosphere characterise the town's events. Visitors can expect a colourful mixture of traditional marksmen's sports, entertainment, traditional and fast-paced fairground rides and many culinary delights.
More than 60 fairground attractions form a mile of fun on the Schützenplatz. The ‘fifth Emden season’, as this festival used to be known, has never lost its appeal.
