Eisenhüttenstadt - Lausitz Jahrmarkt

The Lausitz Fair in Eisenhüttenstadt is the largest travelling funfair in the East Brandenburg region and attracts thousands of visitors every year to the spacious fairground on the island. Nestled in the heart of the city’s green lung, between the Oder-Spree Canal and the Old Oder, a fairground comes to life here that perfectly blends tradition with modern funfair excitement.

The atmosphere on the island is unique: whilst the monumental architecture of Germany’s first socialist planned city serves as a historical backdrop, the fair transforms the site into a colourful world of light and music. Thanks to its spacious layout, the fair offers room for an impressive variety of attractions – from classic family carousels and nostalgic chain swings to modern high-rise rides that are visible far beyond the city limits.

The Lausitz Fair is particularly appreciated for its varied supporting programme, which is often complemented by live music in the marquee, spectacular fireworks over the water and themed days for families. Culinary delights at the fair include a wide range of regional specialities, such as Mutzbraten or Brandenburg grilled specialities, as well as sweet classics like roasted almonds and crêpes.
