About the Park
Every year, three weeks before Easter, the Eisenach Summer Win® brings a centuries-old custom to life. Winter, the that brings death, is driven away and the life-giving summer is summoned. The parade has been the highlight of the spring festival since 1897.
Spicke" fairground
The "Spicke" fairground is located in Adam-Opel-Straße, directly in front of the gates of the automobile factory of the same name, in the north-west of the city. This is where the large parade sets up and moves through the western part of the city towards the city centre. On the "Spicke" fairground, which is the largest of the three fairgrounds with an area of 10,000 m², there is space for 600 running metres of all kinds of fairground attractions.
Market square
The large parade with its colourful floats makes its way to the market square, which is centrally located in the heart of the town. The market square is primarily used by local showmen, as there is no parking space for floats.
Katharinenstraße
Katharinenstraße is located in Weststadt and therefore in the centre of the area where the Sommergewinn is held. Some of the houses along the street are festively decorated for the Sommergewinn. The large parade moves directly through the colourful mile of traders and showmen towards the city centre. Katharinenstraße offers 600 metres of space for all kinds of fairground attractions. An additional 600 metres can be allocated to traders with goods of all kinds.
