About the Park
On the Baltic Sea island of Rügen, more precisely in Glowe in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, the privately run adventure park Dinosaurland Rügen has been open since April 2007. Over 120 lifelike dinosaur models can be discovered along the 1.5-kilometre adventure trail on the approximately 6-hectare site, which was formerly used by the National People's Army. The models are made by hand from glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) and some have sound modules or are movable. Of course, Dinosaurierland Rügen also offers play opportunities for younger guests as well as a range of food and drink. Dinosaurland Rügen is open seasonally from March to October and invites all young and old amateur palaeontologists to go on a voyage of discovery.
