Dingolfinger Kirta

The love of folk festivals in Lower is unbroken - as evidenced by the many festivals that take place throughout the state between April and October. As the third weekend in October approaches, the series of folk festivals in comes to a close with the Dingolfinger Kirta.

Even after more than 200 years, our Kirta has retained its original character and down-to-earth nature. In the past, it was enough to celebrate the Kirchweih folk festival from ‘Sunnta to Irta’ and add the Kugelkirta, but now the festival begins on Friday and ends on Wednesday.

Days of informal merriment spread through the town. Old and young are united, locals and visitors enjoy the Kirta together. It will be the same again this year when the first keg of fresh festival beer is tapped.
