Dessau - Stadtfest

When Dessau celebrates its town festival, the entire city centre is transformed into one huge, lively party zone. The festival is the perfect meeting place for anyone looking for good cheer, a lively atmosphere and a carefree weekend. As soon as you step onto the festival grounds, you’re swept up in a colourful mix of music, the buzz of voices and enticing scents – there’s simply a party atmosphere in the air here.

The beauty of the city festival lies in its diversity. There’s something to discover on every corner: local clubs and cultural organisations showcase what the region has to offer, whilst different parts of the town reveal their very own unique charm. Whether it’s a cosy get-together with live music, dancing under the open sky or simply a relaxed stroll past the countless stalls – the programme has something to suit every taste.

When it comes to food, of course, every wish is catered for. From classic fairground snacks to hearty barbecued specialities and sweet treats, there’s something for everyone – perfectly complemented by a cold drink in your hand. Above all, however, the town festival is one huge class reunion: you bump into old acquaintances, have a natter with neighbours and enjoy the sense of community together. When the lights come on in the evening and the music is turned up, Dessau shows itself at its most charming and energetic.
