Hohenbeilstein Castle, which dates back to the 11th century and is located above Beilstein in the district of Heilbronn, is home to the private Hohenbeilstein Castle Falconry Centre. Around 100 birds of prey from four continents such as buzzards, eagles, falcons, vultures and owls can be admired here in their refuges and modern breeding enclosures. One of the highlights of a visit to the Hohenbeilstein Castle Falconry Centre is the flight demonstrations, where the different species of birds of prey are presented and their flying skills demonstrated. Hohenbeilstein Castle Falconry is always open Tuesdays to Sundays and offers a great day trip destination in the Heilbronn region and is also easy to reach from the Stuttgart metropolitan region.
