Brockumer Großmarkt

Brockum, a small community with only around 1,000 inhabitants, organises one of the biggest festivals and exhibitions in the region with its wholesale market. Around 200,000 visitors are expected. The wholesale market is very diverse, ranging from a market with a trade show, an agricultural machinery exhibition, a marquee with a colourful programme, to a funfair with many stalls and various large rides. The highlight, however, is the cattle market on Tuesday, where deals are sealed with a handshake at the beer stand, just like in the old days.
