Bochum - Gertrudiskirmes Wattenscheid

The funfair-free period has come to an end! The Bochum funfair season traditionally begins with the Gertrudiskirmes organised by Bochum Marketing GmbH in Wattenscheid city centre. The funfair, which is regularly held on the anniversary of the death of Wattenscheid's patron saint Gertrude of Nivelles on 17 March 659, provides the best entertainment every day from 2 pm. The funfair programme of rides, games and food stalls stretches from Gertrudisplatz through the shopping area of Oststrasse and Hochstrasse to August-Bebel-Platz.
