Birgits Tiergarten

In the East Frisian town of Rechtsupweg, 14 km north-west of Aurich and 14 km south-east of Norden, you will find Birgits Tiergarten. The 2.8-hectare zoo has more than 400 animals such as donkeys, llamas, kangaroos, guinea pigs and many different bird species in around 50 enclosures. Animals such as the peacock roam completely free in the landscaped park and can thus move around freely. In addition to a playground and the terrace café, you will also find a petting meadow. As befits a zoo, you can of course feed the various animals with the animal food available at the ticket counters. You can visit Birgit's zoo with the whole family from March to October. A great family destination in the north.
