About the Park
The Lichtenberg Winter Season in Berlin, often referred to as the Christmas fair on Landsberger Allee, is one of the largest and longest-running winter events in the capital. It takes place on the festival grounds at Landsberger Allee 300 in the Lichtenberg district and usually begins in early November, often marking the start of Berlin's winter market season.
In contrast to traditional, contemplative Christmas markets, Lichtenberg Winter Time focuses on action and rides, which is why it has more of the character of a large winter folk festival. It is characterised by an impressive variety of spectacular attractions. A special highlight is the large Ferris wheel, from which visitors can enjoy a sweeping view of the sparkling market and the surrounding area. In addition, there are numerous exciting rides for the brave and special children's rides for the little ones, making the market a popular family celebration.
The entire event is bathed in a sea of lights and a festive atmosphere, complemented by Christmas stalls and delicacies. The culinary offerings range from hearty specialities such as langos, tarte flambée and grilled delicacies to sweet Christmas treats such as roasted almonds and chocolate-covered fruit. The scent of mulled wine and other hot drinks creates a typical Christmas atmosphere. Wednesdays are often family days with reduced prices for the rides.
