Bergtierpark Fürth Erlenbach

The Fürth Erlenbach Mountain Animal Park, founded in 1960, is located in the Erlenbach district of southern Hesse in the Bergstraße district. On the approximately 1-kilometre-long circular route through the mountain animal park in the middle of the Odenwald, you can observe over 240 animals from more than 30 species. Whether alpaca, fallow deer, emu, kangaroo, macaque, muntjac, mouflon or yak, the animals live in spacious outdoor enclosures that almost correspond to their natural environment. Due to the species-appropriate husbandry, young animals can be marvelled at almost all year round. To the delight of the smallest guests, all the animals in the mountain animal park may be fed. You can get special food at the park entrance or from several vending machines scattered around the park. Of course, there is also a playground in Fürth's mountain animal park where the little ones can linger while their parents prepare a picnic on the surrounding benches. A nice destination for an excursion in the picturesque Odenwald, which can also be combined with a visit to the Fürth Miniature Worlds, only ten minutes away by car.
