Bad Mergentheim - Volksfest

The long-established folk festival in Bad Mergentheim looks back on a history spanning more than 85 years and offers a four-day break from everyday life. The region’s largest folk festival attracts thousands of visitors every year to the fairground on Schwimmbadstraße. Under new management, the event is being held earlier in the summer, on a weekend, with a fresh new look. The attractive funfair offers a colourful mix of thrills on fast-paced high-rise and carousel rides, as well as family-friendly games stalls. The culinary offerings range from classic fairground specialities to sweet treats. Alongside the hustle and bustle of the fairground, the festively decorated marquee with its adjoining beer garden invites visitors to enjoy a cosy atmosphere and live music. Special events such as a seniors’ afternoon, the popular family day with heavily discounted ride prices and special offers, as well as a grand, colourful closing fireworks display late on Monday evening round off the festival weekend.
