The Whitsun Festival Week in Bad Kötzting always takes place from Whitsun Saturday to the following weekend. The festival week starts on Saturday with the horse market on Amberg Island. The official opening of the Whitsun folk festival then follows in the afternoon. You can look forward to the festival marquee until the final day. A special highlight is the Whitsun Ride on Whit Monday. The Whitsun Ride to Bad Kötzting is one of the largest mounted processions of supplication in Europe and dates back to a vow made in 1412.
