About the Park
In Wilhelmshaven, Lower Saxony, the aquarium looks back on a history rich in tradition: it was first opened in 1927 and reopened in 1950 after being closed due to the war. After several extensions and renovations, it was closed again in 2001 and partially demolished. The following year, the rebuilt water zoo was reopened. Dive into the wonderful underwater world and experience a variety of different animals such as sharks, rays, turtles and Magellanic penguins. With the adventure exhibition "Saurians - Giants of the Seas", Aquarium Wilhelmshaven promises its visitors a unique insight into the seas of over 250 million years ago.
