Alternativer Wolf- und Bärenpark Schwarzwald

In the district of Freudenstadt in Baden-Württemberg, or rather in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, around 16 kilometres south-west of Freudenstadt, you will find the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest, which opened in 2010. As the second project of its kind, after the Alternative Bear Park Worbis in Eichsfeld, Thuringia, which opened in 1996, the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest has set itself the goal of providing accommodation and species-appropriate care for large animals - especially bears - that are in need. In addition, the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest imparts knowledge about environmental education and animal husbandry. In addition to the wolves and bears living there, you will also find lynxes and the Bistro Bärenblick, which serves sustainable dishes, on the approximately 10-hectare site. You can visit the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest all year round, although opening times vary depending on the season.
