About the Park
Only a 20-minute drive from Überlingen on Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg, the Salem Monkey Mountain has been located west of the town of Salem since 1976. Covering an area of 20 hectares, there are around 200 Barbary macaques that can move freely in Germany's largest monkey enclosure. Visitors can move through the forest on fixed paths. Alternatively, there is a 12-metre-high treetop path from which you can look down on the animals from above. You will also find southern Germany's largest free-living stork colony, a herd of fallow deer and much more.
