About the Park
On the route of the E45 from Aarhus to Aalborg (and of course in the other direction), you pass Randers. Here, a very unusual - but small - zoo was opened to visitors in 1996: Randers Regnskov Tropical Zoo was opened as a pure indoor zoo. On an area of 3600 square metres, distributed over 3 glass domes, the areas of Africa, South America and Asia were represented. Most of the 250 animal species can move freely in the domes, as far as this is possible. So it can happen that you see a passing macaw while looking at the jumping tamarins or that you have to duck in front of the flying foxes. In addition, visitors can expect a snake temple, an aquarium and a night zoo where they can meet nocturnal animals. The zoo underwent its biggest expansion since its opening in 2021, when an additional outdoor area was opened.
