About the Park
If you drive north from Hamburg to Denmark and pass Aarhus, you will inevitably arrive in Aalborg, Denmark's fourth largest city, on the E45 motorway. As is customary for any larger city, Aalborg has been home to a zoo in the middle of the city since 1935. Due to its exposed location, the area is only 8 hectares, but the zoo nevertheless has a lot to offer: Over 100 species live in Aalborg Zoo. While on the one hand popular animals such as flamingos, Columbian spider monkeys or even the cute Humboldt penguins can be admired, the conservation tasks of selected animal species are given priority. For example, there is a special breeding programme for the endangered red orang utan. A special feature are certainly the team-building activities, where you have to compete with animals.
