Jerudong Park

Jerudong Park is an amusement park in Jerudong, Brunei-Muara district in Brunei. It is located about 20 kilometres from Bandar Seri Begawan and only about 1.5 kilometres from the South China Sea. Jerudong Park is the largest and most expensive amusement park in Southeast Asia, built and financed by the Brunei government in 1994 at a cost of USD 1 billion. In its first years of operation, the park was completely free, with no entrance fees and free rides. Today you can expect a combination of a zoo, a hip castle course, a petting zoo as well as various rides and a small water park section. The park has a rollercoaster and all attractions are paid for according to the Tivoli principle, so admission to the park is free, but the rides can be used for an individual fee. The park is owned by the government of Brunei.
