About the Park
Olmen is located halfway between Maastricht and Antwerp. Pakawi Park Zoo, which opened in Olmen in 1980, was known as Olmense Zoo until 2019 and covers an area of 12 hectares. The zoo specializes in big cats but is home to over 200 animal species in total. In addition to a tropical hall with bats and crocodiles and a savanna area with zebras and antelopes, there is also a bear forest here.
