About the Park
Monarto Safari Park was first opened to the public in 1983 and is located 70 kilometres east of Adelaide near Murray Bridge. Divided into several areas such as Asian Steppe, Dry North Africa and African Plains, you will find just 50 species of animals on 1,500ha (!), there is perfectly enough space for the approximately 500 animals. The zoo offers several unique attractions, so you can get close to lions and cheetahs, have interactive experiences with meerkats and see Australia's largest herd of giraffes. In addition, visitors can explore Monarto Safari Park on 12 kilometres of walking trails, with different tours available with varying levels of difficulty.
