About the Park
On the Tasman Highway in Tasmania, a handful of kilometres north of the small town of Bicheno on the east coast of the Australian island, lies East Coast Natureworld. Set amidst a vast expanse of 150 hectares of natural coastal bushland, East Coast Natureworld is a one-stop destination to experience Tasmania's unique wildlife. Wander through the expansive parkland, meet and feed free-ranging kangaroos. Or join a group after dark to spot nocturnal animals like the Tasmanian devil. Learn about echidna, the Australian echidna, on guided tours and find out that it can swim by using its long beak with nostrils at the tip like a snorkel. Watch the koala's cousins, the wombats, and pet kangaroos and wallabies.
