About the Park
About 6 kilometres off the coast of the Indian Ocean and about 4 kilometres south of the small Australian town of Margaret River, in the midst of the wine-growing region, Eagles Heritage was established in 1987 to provide a home for disabled birds of prey and owls. The park first opened its doors to the public in 1998. Eagles Heritage is the premier care and rehabilitation facility for birds of prey in Western Australia. It provides a permanent home for over 40 birds of prey, including eagles, hawks and owls that are unable to return to the wild. Once the animals are recovered, they are returned to the wild. A 1 km trail amidst the native flora through the park allows you to see diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey.
