About the Park
Ballarat Wildlife Park is located in Ballarat, a city of the same name with a population of over 100,000. Since 1987, a herd of over 100 free-ranging kangaroos has been housed on an area of 15ha, which visitors can feed by hand. As this privately run zoo specialises in keeping mainly native animals, reptiles, lizards and giant tortoises can be found here. Wombats and Tasmanian devils are among the more than 60 species of animals that can be found here in Ballarat Wildlife Park.
