Aquarium of Western Australia

Since 2001, the A.Q.W.A. (Aquarium of Western Australia), which opened in 1988 under the name Underwater World Perth, has been located on the outskirts of Perth. In a 3-million-litre tank, 10,000 animals swim, and while you stand in the glass tunnel, sharks and rays swim past you only a few centimetres away. While you watch little turtles grow up in the Turtle Pool, you will be introduced to octopuses or jellyfish from the Perth Coast region. See one of the world's largest coral reef displays and dozens of unique exhibits featuring native Western Australian marine life and live corals.
